A wonderful Sailors Sea Chest of typical form, with original Beckett handles and a charming naive portrait of a ship to the inside of the lid – 19th century.

Very well made using quarter sawn timbers (Padouk or Teak). Presented in good solid condition with gorgeous old patina and a rich tobacco colour. The interior is painted blue and features a candle tray. It’s perfectly useable and of course looks superb displayed with the lid up.
