A remarkable group of Alice in Wonderland Puppets. Hand made from wood and paper-mache with adorable outfits and painted faces by Kath Gibbons, on Tresco, Isles of Scilly, in the 1950s.

By family tradition, Kath struggled with making the hands and was offered guidance and assistance from Lucien Freud, who stayed regularly on the island. The group includes, The Mad Hatter, Alice & Dormouse, Duchess & pig, The Duchess’s Cook, King of Hearts, The Knave of Hearts with the Queens stolen tarts and finally an odd gentleman wearing a tuxedo. All totally charming and unique!
