A rare china plate with connections to Richmond York’s and Richmond Market, dated 1929.
Made to by ‘Grimwades’ of Stoke on Trent to commemorate The Borough of Richmonds Charter Celebration 1329-1929, whereby an Ox is spit roasted annually in Richmond Market Place, by appointment of the Mayor George R Wade.
A wonderful plate with good subject matter, formerly belonging to a good private collection of Kitchenalia. No repairs or loss, minor crazing to the porcelain and one area of discolouration to the top edge.
