An unusual and incredibly decorative bronze planter or vessel with 3 large relief spiders and beautiful verdigris – early 20th century.

Superb quality casting and very heavy! Lovely colouring and patina to the bronze. I believe this is a lost-wax casting, the process by which a duplicate sculpture (often a metal, such as bronze, silver, gold, brass,) is cast from an original sculpture. Good condition.
