A fantastic example of a Victorian shell covered ‘memory ware’ jug

Made from a substantial stoneware jug or flagon, complete with the original screw off lid. It’s been lovingly decorated entirely in shells and presents in good condition with attractive patina. Memory ware is a folk art style of decorating household items with small decorative objects like shells, buttons or keys. It was popular in Victorian Britain.
