1920’s Dracula Showman’s Puppet
Category: Sold
A wonderful 1920’s folk art showman’s puppet of Dracula.
It bears a striking resemblance to Bela Lugosi’s sinister portrayal in 1931 but also perhaps Raymond Huntley’s Dracula in Hamilton Deans original stage production
in 1924.
The head is hand painted and made form papier-mâché with hand stitched cloth bodies and wire inwards that can be used to manipulate his movement. Just in time for Halloween!
