Ventriloquist Dummy

A fantastic 1930’s ventriloquist dummy, modelled on and named after the most famous ventriloquist dummy of the period, Charlie McCarthy.

Made in Canada by the Reliable Doll Co. the dummy is hand painted with a moveable mouth operated by a draw string on his back. Charlie McCarthy was Edgar Bergen’s famed ventriloquist dummy partner. The pair appeared on numerous films, radio & television shows from 1930 up until Bergen’s death in 1978.
