Victorian pedestal sideboard
A stunning large size Victorian pedestal sideboard in the Georgian revival style C.1880.
Excellent quality construction, made from oak, pine, mahogany and various wood veneer.
It features an elaborate amount of detail including swag, foliate, flaming urns on each door with a pair of reeded columns either side. It stands on lovely reeded feet with pagoda tops on each pier, all drawers & doors are panelled and beaded showing the quality of construction. The rich colours add to the overal grandeur of this striking sideboard. The top removes from the two pedestals, making it easy to move.
It is solid and perfectly useable with some wear to the top, minor loss to some veneer/swag and shrinkage to each pagoda top (please view photos). This handsome piece has spent the majority of its life in a historic country house and has never been offered to the market.
