Victorian Foresters Masonic Axes
A wonderful pair of Victorian carved wood axes from The ancient order of Foresters, dating from the late 19th century
Once part of a Foresters Masonic lodge near Southend-on-sea. The address of the lodge is hand written on each axe. They have each been well carved from one piece of wood and have the most amazing original green & gilt paint. They would have most likely been wall decor or perhaps used for ceremonial purposes. They are unique and look fantastic wall hung, good decorative Victoriana.
