Victorian dress makers mannequin
A beautiful Victorian dressmakers mannequin C.1860.
A good early example with a ‘wasp waist’ and fabulous form. The mannequin body displays on its original ebonised bobbin turned stand with ceramic finial and bun feet. The silk upholstery is showing cosmetic wear, mainly to the chest, it is no longer suitable to use for dress making and purely a decorative piece.
It is perfectly happy free standing and makes a wonderful display piece all on its own or adorned in antique garments.
