Victorian Cat Portrait

A simply delightful Victorian oil portrait of a cat, dating from the second half of the 19th century. Painted to good standard in oil on mahogany board and mounted in a pretty period black & gilt frame, possibly original to the painting. It’s a simple yet charming depiction of what looks like the face of a tabby cat with a wonderful expression. A unique and fun piece of Victoriana ready to wall hang and enjoy!
