Naive Victorian portrait
A charming naive Victorian oil on board of a large gentlemen drinking a large beer or C.1860.
Painted in a naive style on an oak panel, possibly Daniel Lambert, Englands largest man of the time. There is a lovely old repair on the reverse which was done to stabilise the split through the middle, otherwise in good original condition. Most likely a piece of folk art that would have hung on the wall of a public house or tavern.
