Irish Oval Mirror

A pretty gilded & ebonised Victorian Irish oval mirror, dating from the mid 19th century.

A simple yet timeless oval design, wood frame and backing with a gesso layer and original vibrant gilding & ebonised black finish. Painted onto the black boarder are lots of little stars that would have also been gilded, they have now faded but are still visible. The original mirrored plate is present and in good order. Good solid condition, the frame has some cosmetic wear which it wears well. Ready to wall hang and enjoy.
