Infant Of Prague Statue
A beautiful example of an early 20th century French statue of the ‘Infant of Prague’.
Well cast from plaster by renowned French maker ‘De Posea’ with a stunning hand painted finish. This is an early & rare depiction of the Infant which has been signed by the maker and the Italian artist who made & painted it. It is complete and in good solid condition with minor cosmetic wear. A wonderful piece of religious statuary and fantastic addition to any collection.
The Infant Jesus of Prague is a 16th century wax-coated carved wooden statue of the child Jesus holding a globus cruciger of Spanish origin, now located in the Discalced Carmelite Church of Our Lady of Victories in Malá Strana, Prague, Czech Republic.
