French ecclesiastical alter swan C.1900

A large and very decorative ecclesiastical French alter swan C.1900.

Superbly made from wood with a hand sculpted and painted plaster finish. Possibly to hold cut flowers or purely decorative. Excellent age related wear and some remnants of original gilt paint. Two older breaks to the neck otherwise in good condition. Displays well from all angles.
