French Boxer Statue Signed

A magnificent & rare French statue of a boxer in a fighting pose, dating from the 1920’s. Well cast from spelter with a patinated bronzed finish. Produced by renowned French sculptor Georges Vacossin (1870-1942). It is signed by the artist and has an engraved plaque to the base reading ‘BOXEUR Par Vacossin’ He quite fittingly has a slightly beaten up face which certainly suits him! Otherwise presented in good original condition.
