Carved oak figurehead of a maiden

A stunning French carved oak figurehead of a maiden C.1920.

Superb quality, hand carved from oak with the most wonderful timeworn gilded finish. She is complete, solid and in good original condition with only cosmetic wear & patina. She was bought in Spain but believed to be French, possibly from a ship or purely architectural decoration. Art Deco in style and displays incredibly well, although heavy she is perfectly happy wall hung. A highly decorative and scarce statement piece.
