Carved Flemish Bust

An attractive & unusual Flemish bust of a maiden, dating from the late 19th century.

Naive in its appearance but well carved from a heavy piece of oak, it’s a two piece bust with the shoulders & upper body in one section and the neck & head on the other. Lovely details to the face, hair, bonnet and shoulders which show its character & origins. It’s a unique piece of folk art that displays well from all angles, presented in good solid and original condition.
