This good quality thick gauge brass sign dates from the early 20th century, presented in good condition with minor age related wear & patina. It comes with good provenance listed below and written on the reverse of the sign.
Charles Silk Willis was born in 1883 in Walsall, he worked as a violin maker & auctioneer and was most active circa 1914. Known for coating the instruments he made in red oil or orange varnish
